All racing will take place in Customs House harbour (AKA South harbour) which forms part of the inner harbour at Whitehaven. Protected from the winds of the Irish Sea by large harbour walls and from sea swell and waves by the harbour lock Customs House harbour is ideally suited for the purpose of race.
Teams for the relay will be drawn by the race committee from those who register to enter it. Teams will be drawn and published no later than one week before the festival.
The sprint and relay races will be straight out, round a marker buoy and straight back in whereas the obstacle course will follow the circumference of the harbour with obstacles strategically placed that will need to be crossed.
At registration and on the payment of an entry *fee applicants will have the opportunity to register for one, two or all of the races. Only registered competitors will be permitted to race . Online registration in now open.
Medals and points will be warded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd places of each race category. Trophies will be awarded to the Individuals who have amassed the most points in their age and gender category after all races have been run.
